Reflection Questions:
1. What suffering from your life is the Spirit bringing to mind?
2. What is the Spirit saying to you about that suffering?
3. Ask God to reveal His purpose for you in that suffering.

FCF: We fail to trust that God has a purpose in suffering.
Big Idea: God sovereignly uses our suffering for his purposes.
1. Expect suffering. (16-24)
2. Expect a purpose for suffering. (25-34)
3. Expect vindication. (35-40)
Q1: Did God know this was going to happen to you?
Isaiah 46:10 - declaring the end from the beginning and from ancient times things not yet done, saying, ‘My counsel shall stand, and I will accomplish all my purpose,’
Q2: If God knew that this was going to happen could He have changed it if He wanted to?
Daniel 4:35 - He does according to his will among the host of heaven and among the inhabitants of the earth; and none can stay his hand or say to him, “What have you done?”
Q3: God knew. He could've changed it, He didn't change it. Therefore it was for our good and His glory.
Romans 8:28 - And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.
