Giving Over Taking

SERMON OUTLINE

FCF: There’s something broken in the human soul that leaves us unnecessarily longing for more and believing that taking, consuming and acquiring will actually satisfy us.

Big Idea: Jesus satisfies those who generously give themselves for his sake.

Four Principles For Faithful Ministry:

1. Boldness is essential, especially when conflict rises. (1-2)

2. People pleasing fails God’s test of faith. (3-6)

3. Ministry that transforms lives must include faithful gospel proclamation and authentic biblical community. (7-10)

4. Ministry requires a parental perspective. (7, 11-12)

Closing Proposition

Give your life fully to Jesus for there is nothing he could ask of you that he is not worthy of.
